I am on Maya 2020.4 on Windows, and I am able to bring in aiff audio files to the timeline, but they sound extremely noisy. They come in nicely on a Mac or Linux machine. Are there any specifications to the aiff file that are needed for them to work on windows?
The AIFF I have uses twos(or SOWT) codec, and has a frame rate of 48K. It plays fine with vlc on windows, just not in Maya.
