trace operation problem !!!

i can't use trace operation with tool compensation left or right, just center and this cause tool to machine more then it should and it works just the faces machined between them, bellow are the screens... Can somebody give a ideea?

I think this has to do with the trace being a 2.5D operation so it doesn't compensate for the ball in the height.

Trace will run the center of the tool along your selection. It dose not compensate for the tool. For that you would need to use 3D project.

Even if it doesn't do vertical compensation for a ball mill it should still generate a path though right?  In the second picture it's not generating a path at all.

i think it's something to do with chaining, becouse the faces between them, left compensation works perfectly and top faces works just center compensation.

Now it works , i don't know how but anyway i still can't machine like a pocket, everythink inside of selection and even machine more then it should with the tip of the cutter.

That is what we were saying it doesnt compensate for the ball (most notably in height).

I have attached 2 MP4 files on trace and one Project. You will see that the trace as stated before will not compensate for the tool. It simply runs the center of the tool along the selected path. No if you are using a ¼ tool and you use the left, right, center comp in the operation and the tool won’t fit inside the boundaries then you won’t get a toolpath.
