Tool retracts to retract height within profile once, while stays down on another occasion. How to control it from not retracting while machine one profile.

Hello,

I'm using InventorCAM 2022. I'm new to InventorCAM. I have  multiple hinge pockets within one toolpath. I need the tool to retract at least 16 mm when moving from one hinge pocket to another because clamping. But I don't want it to retract to 16 mm while it's machining the same hinge pocket. The toolpath moves to two different heights one to the retract height and one much lower. Why does this happen,  and how can I control it to stay lower when not moving to the other hinge pocket?

Pictures attached of the heights tab,   Toolpath with climb and maching both ways and third showing only conventional machining one way only. Need to stay down on the highlighted path .

This should be possible in the Linking tab. search for "hold tool down" here. But it is important to pay close attention to the tool path. I like to do individual jobs with such things.

J.
