Create next toolpath

Hello community

I am trying simple toolpaths in which I have an adaptive as first roughing operation with flat mill, followed by a parallel finishing operation operation with a ball mill. It is generating the toolpaths okay, but I cannot seem to find the correct way to make the second operation (with ball cutter) a derived operation from the first.

When I simulate the second operation, my stock is unchanged as If I am running my first operation. The stock should show that some material was cleared during first operation and the second toolpath generated should take that into account.

In Fusion CAM, you just right click on the first operation and select "create derived operation". I am doing the same thing in Inventor CAM, but it is not doing it. I hate Fusion 360 and I don't want to use that for my machining needs, but I cannot seem to understand why Fusion and Inventor behave differently using same steps.

Am I doing it wrong in Inventor CAM ? I just want to have the second, third, fourth .... toolpath calculations take into consideration the immediate earlier toolpaths.

Hi @heliosxe,

You have to simulate all operations... Many Functions of F360 are not implemented in Inv or SWX. If you take a look into several posts with this problems the only thing you can see there are annoyed users.
