4 axis mill, rotational issues

Hey i am attempting to mill this hammer handle, I am making a Thor hammer replica, but i keep having issues with trying to get the handle to rotate while it mills to allow it to properly mill the shape into the handle. Ive tried a 3d contour, 2d and 3d adaptive. none of them will rotate the part, or if they do they only machine down to the top of the handle grips. Has any one done anything similar? I am using 2017 solidworks with 2017 hsm ultimate, and i will be using a 4 axis VF-1 to mill the handle on a a-axis chuck.

I don't have Solidworks, but have you tried 2D contour then the "wrap toolpath " box under the geometry tab?

So I was actually able to get it to work using a 3D pocket and then axis substitution for my tool orientation, I will try that 2D wrap and see how it works, I knew that it existed for some reason I couldn't find it until after you mentioned it here. Thanks for the help!
