How to create a Face Grooving with a curved profile

I want to make a Face Grooving in lathes with Turning InventorCAM
Is there any way to create it?

Is something like this what you are after?

If the gap is large the story is simple, however if the gap size is 2mm, the Groove tool cannot be used for machining because the smallest tool size is 3mm.
So I came up with one like this, but it doesn't work as intended.

You won't be able to machine the grove the the trapezoidal shape tool? You'll need a tool similar to the one linked below?

Or, if you have live tooling in the lathe you can use a ball endmill?
