Hello,
I cannot get daylight analysis for Revit 2017 to work. Whenever i press "Lighting" i get the error:
Writing of Entities of this Schema is not allowed to the current add-in.
How can i get it to work?

Hi @mpjCJWLJ,
Could you tell me a little bit more about the problem? What version of the plugin are you using? This page lists the most current versions.
It sounds like your installation of the lighting analysis plugin did not complete successfully. Could you please try uninstalling (from the Control Panel), then install the latest version and let me know if you're still getting the error?

Hello Stephanie,
I no longer have the problem. It just worked today.
However I have another small problem. "Lighting analysis Daylight factor" seems to be missing in the analysis display styles. Howcome?
Hi @mpjCJWLJ,
There's not a pre-loaded DF analysis style, however you can easily make your own.
See this thread for more information on how to do that:

Thanks
So its only possible to do it through "Render in cloud" (from view and min costs 1 credit ) and not through "Lighting" (from analyze and free)?
You can do DF analysis with both.
With the plugin, select Illuminance Analysis as your analysis type (or Custom if using an older version of the plugin). Then, under Environment Date/Time settings, you can select the DF Sky Model.
(the analysis time and solar settings won't be used, so don't worry about them)
To use the Render in the cloud workflow, you can follow the instructions here. However, note that there are some limitations. For example, you can't create your own color scheme and display style and you can't export analysis point data.
