Hello,

I am starting to use Insight but I have a doubt that I can't solve. It is about the daylight analysis maximum threshold which is 6000 lux and I just can't change it. Could you help me with that?

Thank very much!

I don't think it's the threshold that is limited to 6000, but the display value.

The display value is limited to 6000 by default in order to make the legend useful.  In the latest release v4.031, you can change that upper clip value in the settings (gear icon).

New version is available at:

Thank you very much for your reply. I am using Insight 2019 version and the maximun value is locked in the Analysis results Configuration. I am sure there is a way to unlock, but I don't know how to do it.

That's OK to use R19.  Since Insight Lighting and Solar are distributed via an addin, we update the tool for all versions of Revit (R17 to R20) each release.  You can install the latest version for R19 and you'll get all the new features:

Image attached for where to revise the max illuminance clipping.

(note that for the new Daylight Factor analysis type, the max is always < 100, as units are percent)
