Analysis on small area or single room?

So I am wondering if we can run the analysis on a single room at high resolution. Sometimes because of the point spread at low resolution I would like to look at a single room at high res. without paying for the entire model to be run which can be extremely costly. Will setting a section box in Revit allow for this?

Apologies for the delayed response. 

Unfortunately, at this time, you cannot isolate Revit room objects for lighting analysis--however, there is a workaround. But limiting the analysis to smaller portions of the model will not increase the resolution. The attached table outlines the resolution options for the various types of analysis, and the cloud pricing.

Here is a method to limit the analysis to smaller areas of the model:

make separate Floor objects on a Level, and put them on separate 'Levels',

then in the Lighting Analysis select only the 'Levels' with the ‘Floors' you want to analyze. 

This is also our recommendation for separating building 'Floors' from exterior surfaces or shading devices that are (incorrectly) defined by 'Floor' objects.

For now, we only subdivide by Levels, which are usually equivalent to collections of 'Floors'.
