In your comments you say first image is assembly and second is the skeleton.
But it looks like 2x the same part.
In the images I cannot see a link between the files
How are they connected?
Did you link the parameters in the assembly (Parameter table assembly, lower left button: Link)
Or use derived part?
Please also explain what kind of notification you are expecting from workplanes.
