Using iLogic to customize appearance

Hello,

I am trying to utilize ilogic to change surface finishes based on the material selected by the user for an assembly file. There are specific features I would like to dictate which color they need to be and was trying to use this feature color line of code:

Feature.Color("Featurename") = "apperancename" 

Since i'm in an assembly it can't seem to locate the feature since its in one of the part files so I also tried this: 

Feature.Color("Partname", "Featurename")  = "apperancename"

 As this is the syntax for other iLogic commands.

If anyone knows how to change feature colors within an assembly any info would be greatly appreciated.

using the second sentence you mentioned can change the feature color of a part occurrence in an assembly. Like this:
