Scan assembly and get last Occurrence name

Is there a way to scan an assembly of components to find out lets say part 1's occurrence name of say "part 1:153"? I'm wanting to do this so I can start adding more of the components and not worry about duplicating the occurrence name? Any ideas?  Thanks in advance!

Hey Brad,

See this link , there is an example there where I renumber the occurrences before placing a new one, that way the code knows what number to start with, etc.
