I am curious, it is an Autodesk site correct?
In 2013 Autodesk wrote an article titled "Taking The Step from VBA to Autodesk Inventor Add-Ins." The solutions in that article do not work, and there is no support.
For the life of me, I do not understand why they would have this great next step if it does not work? There must be some little thing missing that did not work.
Since I am logged into an AUTODESK website, I figured perhaps it was an Autodesk support site, so this is my mistake. Perhaps a disclosure and removal of the Autodesk logo would be appropriate.
So my orignal post is here: http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-customization/add-ins-for-inventor-2015-with-vb-net-2015/td-p...
I am behaving. The support sucks comment was directed an Autodesk, and they really do suck these days. They have no support available for this question. It is not in the scope of our reseller at all. They are charging way too much for their software these days, especially with their new rental plan.
Since you are not Autodesk affiliated, my comments were not intended toward you, and my apologies for any offense taken. If someone from Autodesk wants to log in and hear this, they should consider being offended and make the appropriate changes! Tens of thousands of dollars are donated to them annually by my organization, really not for much support, and we don't even use the latest version, so there is not much benefit. Moving forward we will just be paying maintenance for the insurance of not having to be on the rental program, which is really not innovative thinking!
Thank you.
