Maybe a bit disappointing but you should not learn VBa. Have a look at this article: "Is VBA in Inventor obsolete?". Try learning iLogic instead. This might be a good starting point:

As stated by JelteDeJong, there is the very real likelihood that vba is/will be obsolete. With that in mind, vba might be a little easier to start with then move into vb.net or ilogic. Depends on your learning style.
I started learning VBA while trying to beat on Excel, and there are many publications/ online examples which can get your hands dirty. There are many vba samples for Inventor that can be found at modthemachine by Brian Ekins and others, please excuse any misspellings as well as Curtis Waguespack at inventortrenches.blogspot.
I haven't found any hardcopy vba programming for Inventor, though there are plenty for Excel.
Best I could suggest is slogging through the help/developer files or online reference and the above mentioned sites
Mostly just a link to more helpful links.
