Inventor apprentice client views in wpf

Hi all,

I am trying to replicate what is done in the post below but in wpf instead of winforms however I'm having no luck. If there is anyone that has done this before or has any ideas they would be much appreciated thanks.

after trying to get it working on just a normal winform I seem to get this error, then the form shows up blank if I remove the line. has this happened to anyone else when trying to do this with client views?
