Huge temp files

Hi all,

Not sure which forum to post this on but here goes...

We have 6 sessions of Inventor running as servers to configure models that are then fed into our ERP system.

Disk space is quickly becoming an issue, I've tracked the usage down to the the local temp files (C:\Users\cadflow\AppData\Local\Temp) where there are 120GB of temp texture files (see attached image)

I did delete all the files in this folder about a month ago but I lost some settings that Inventor uses (such as the exporting a dxf options). So it's created 120GB of data in a month!

Is there a way to limit the size of these files? Or do I just delete them every once in a while? And if so is it safe to delete the textures folders without a risk of deleting any Inventor preferences/settings?

Thanks

Tom

Just in case anybody is having the same problems, Autodesk suggested running the disk cleanup in task scheduler every week which seems to have solved my problem.

If you run cmd you type:

"cleanmgr.exe /sageset:1"

This will open the cleanup manager where you can select your options, when you hit OK the options will get saved to a registry key.

Add /sageset:1 as an argument in task manager to run the program with no user input and with the options you've saved to registry.
