Hi all,
I’m working on a spiral groove model and I am facing some difficulties related to wall thickness, also which method to use (I am a beginner). Below is the specificartions of design I am working on:
The spiral starts at Ø20 mm from the center and expands up to ~Ø100–105 mm
The groove width is 12 mm at the start and tapers down to 6.3 mm near the outer edge
The groove depth starts at 26 mm and becomes shallower toward the end
I need to maintain a consistent 2 mm wall thickness between each spiral turn throughout the groove
The spiral groove should follow a flat, anti-clockwise spiral path, and the groove will be cut via sweep or loft for CNC
i have attached the images for your reference, I would really appriciate your help if you could guide me or can provide me a sample IPT that I can follow. Have a great day!
