Hi all,

I’m working on a spiral groove model and I am facing some difficulties related to wall thickness, also which method to use (I am a beginner). Below is the specificartions of design I am working on:

  • The spiral starts at Ø20 mm from the center and expands up to ~Ø100–105 mm

  • The groove width is 12 mm at the start and tapers down to 6.3 mm near the outer edge

  • The groove depth starts at 26 mm and becomes shallower toward the end

  • I need to maintain a consistent 2 mm wall thickness between each spiral turn throughout the groove

  • The spiral groove should follow a flat, anti-clockwise spiral path, and the groove will be cut via sweep or loft for CNC

i have attached the images for your reference, I would really appriciate your help if you could guide me or can provide me a sample IPT that I can follow. Have a great day!
