What do you mean by 'item numbers'?

Do you mean the integer after the colon (:) at the end of each sheet's browser node name?

Do you mean there is a PartsList somewhere in the drawing and there is only one sheet within the drawing for each item in the PartsList, and you want the sheets ordered by what Item is being shown on within the first view of each sheet?
