Get the parent part name which is in browser in the derived part

I have derived a part from the parent part file and I want to get the parent part name which is shown in the browser and put this name into the user parameter of the derived part.

Hi @pranaykapse1.  I responded to your other post, which seems to be about nearly the same thing at the following link:

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-ilogic-and-vb-net-forum/push-user-text-parameter-from-parent...

Within that response I am describing how to copy parameters from an active part on your screen that has another part derived into it, to the part that is derived into it.  And how to copy a parameter from the derived in part, to the active part on your screen that it is derived into.  With this being a complicated topic to describe accurately, and understandably, how you word things in your post makes a big difference in clearly relaying the situation.  The way this request is worded it sounds like you want to start your code from the part that has another part derived into it.  Then you want to get the BrowserNode name of that derived in part, and write that to a user parameter within the derived in part.  That does not sound logical to me, so I'm not sure if that is what you really want.  What is your bigger goal in doing what you are trying to do here, so that we can better understand the situation.
