Frozen model of a parametric model

Hi All,

I have a parametric model which changes according to the input it receives from iLogic linked to an external spreadsheet.

So, by changing variables every time I have a different model. I want to export every single of them separately and use them in Inventor Drawing environment. At the moment I export these individuals in STEP format then create a new assembly file and import the Linked STEP file in it (which does the job); however, the iProperties of the Parts don't get transferred! The only thing I have in iProperties is the "Part Number". As the result, when I create the "Part List" or looking at the BOM all the fields are blank!

Please advise the best way to achieve what I need.

@ali.jahed,

You mean to say that step file do not have iProperty in assembly?

Thanks and regards,

Thanks for the reply,

No, it's got iProperties but with empty fields!

For instance, the parts in actual Assembly model have descriptions but when you export as STEP file the description field is empty!

hi,

1. save whole project (with all referenced parametric files) with new name.

or

2. make drawing from your assembly without saving it stp and:

1. save as pdf, dxf or dwf

or

2. defer updates in drawing and save it with new name
