Events - Ribbon Tab Change - Detect - Inventor 2025

Is there a way to detect the ribbon changing on a inventor addin under ApplicationEvents or UserInterfaceEvents. I have tried many methods and nothing seems to detect that. Any help would be appreciated!

OnResetRibbonInterface

OnActivateDocument

OnEnvironmentChange

What I am trying to do is my ribbon connects to Vault and if Vault is connected through Inventor everything will load automatically. But for the users that aren't connected they will have to go to the Vault tab and and login and then go to my special tab and I would like to have it reload my ribbon on that change. But I can't seem to find a way to detect that. Just a little background.

I think you need the reference to vault base either the edm addin. There are possiblies to check.

Yeah I'm going down that road to auto sign into vault. Trying that now. THanks!

You could also use the onactivatecommandevent. To check if vault is activate..

Yeah I couldn't find that one. I don't see it in the API. I'll look again.

This was the missing piece. I added this to my event handler and then loaded my ribbon after it was triggered.
