Dowload VB Inventor Addin Template 2022

Hello everyone.

I am learning how to create add-ins on Inventor 2022 using Visual Studio 2019, but I can't find VB Inventor Addin Template 2022 to download.

Can you share it with me? 

Another question is if I create an add-in for use in Inventor 2022, can other versions of Inventor be used?

The number 2022 in this name VB Inventor Addin Template 2022 refers to the Inventor 2022 version, right?

Hi Friend,

Just navigete to that location "C:\Users\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 2022\SDK" and Install "developertools.msi" there your templates are installed. You can then select the template via visual studio.

You can use addins for further versions till 2024 but not in the 2025 version. In order to use it, you have to convert framework to .net but I think you dont need to learn those right know.

Hi!

I'm currently on the same path as hieut1392, although I'm using Inventor 2025 and Visual Studio Community 2022. I installed the SDK, but there is no Inventor AddIn template to be found.

I also checked the My Documents directory: d:\Users\[username]\Documents\Visual Studio 2022\Templates\ProjectTemplates\Visual Basic\, but the folder is empty.

Any ideas?
