convert .igs files to 3D solid model

Hello

We are attempting to take an .igs file (3D point cloud) to generate a 3D solid model. Does AUTOCAD have a feature to connect all of the points in a mesh to make a surface. Ideally, we would like  to use the point data to create solid.

It seems that this .iges is empty. Can you export as .stl file?

File won't save as STL.  Saved it as IPT file and retest the file to make sure it's there.

I see now. This is not a typical mesh feature that can be converted to a solid feature. This is just a 3D sketch of points and can't be converted to a solid model. Probably can be redesigned if you have some drawings. Which software have you used to create this?

These points were generated from a CMM machine and exported as an iges file. We are trying to measure an existing real part an ultimately generate a 3D solid model form these points to accurately capture the shape and dimension of the real part.

Do you have a possibility to export file as .pts or any other point cloud file extension?

Hi Gerald,

I am not sure that you have exported right points. File that I want to convert to surface/solid has many points. Your file has about hundred lines of text.
