 I have looked this over and I can't figure out why it is giving me this error.

1st time I even seen this kind of error on ilogic.

I supplied the part I will warn you don't hit continue it will stick you in a loop and you will have to force close Inventor.

Now this is in a library folder it works if the part is in the project workspace but I can't have that they need to be in a library so they cannot modify the part by accident .

It works fine in 2012 as a library but not in 2018.

Thanks for the help.

 If you want to be a jerk and insult go right on and do it.

 I did not create my issue if all my parts worked up to 2018.. And even @MjDeck said they screwed up and the update will be out in July..

The fact of the matter it work for  2012 all up to 2018 so I don't think I am the issue but you go on and insult me...

So explain that .. Oh you can't

@MjDeck

 Well I took one part and figured out the issue.

2018 does not fire rules as it did in 2012 and that is causing the issue..

I had this issue in 2012 so I put a run rule in the part generate code so it would do the other rules 1st but in 2018 it does not run them 1st. This was causing it to use the default parameter for part number not the number the form generates as you select options.

This was also the reason the drawings did not work as well because after I did some changes it works now.

Could be part of this new thing you all have did or because I am stupid and know nothing like I am being told even though it worked for years with never an issue...

Can you post the part, or send it to me by email? I'd like to understand the issue better.

@jletcher,
 In the Manage > iLogic > Event Triggers dialog, click on the Security Options button at the top. That will bring up another dialog. Make sure the "All events enabled" option is selected, as shown here:
