changing the words on the view cube to South North East West

Is it possible to change the words  front, back, left, and right on the view cube to South  North  East, and West.

Right click the view cube and go to options and you can turn the compass option on.

how do I make it permanent got 100s of assembles built but would not want to place it everytime.

I'll do some more digging, but so far it looks like the only thing that can be done with the View-Cube through the api is turning the View-Cube on and off, none of the options are exposed in the api from there.

Here is an idea to make the compass part of the application settings and not just the document setting. It doesn't look like it has much support yet but it is at least from this year.
