ThisAssembly.BeginManage/EndManage uses

Afternoon,

Could someone please explain how the new Manage Components snippet works, and how you could/would apply it to every day use? I'm struggling to find any resource that explains it's purpose and how it achieves that. 

Any help would be much appreciated.
