ThisApplication.ActiveView.Fit not working in current document ?

 why does this only work when a rule runs opening another document ? but will not work in the currently opened ( rule started in ) documnet

            iLogicVb.UpdateWhenDone = True
            'zoom all
            ThisApplication.ActiveView.Fit
