Sheet metal parameters using variables are being overwritten

Hello,

We currently use variables for Thickness and Bendradius whose values are stored as iProperties. These variables differ depending on the component and its use in an assembly. This allows us to have a top and a shelf sheet thickness and bend radius which are unique. We work this way to utilize assemblies as "templates" that we can quickly customize the overall dimensions, material thickness and bends to allow us to efficiency create custom products.

What we are seeing is that when using VBA to push these values into the models and subsequently the parts, the variables are actually being overwritten instead of the value being passed through the variable and into the iProperties values that are associated. This only occurs in parts that have derived components that are also using variables, but can be inconsistent.

What specific changes were made to sheet metal, FX parameters and variables and the was they interact that were intentional?

What specific changes were made to the sheet metal, FX parameters and variables have been identified (if any) that were not intended?

Regards,

Tom

Hello,

Due to some of the programming and the way it ties into our ERP system, I think the best thing would be is for me to schedule a time when a developer can remotely view what is happening if that is possible.

Tom
