I had a problem for years with inventor shaft designer and two months ago i decided to make my own shaft designer. I have now created and tested the following: add cylinder section, add cone, add polygon section, add fillets and chamfer and now I am continuing to make adding features like keys and through hole. As a side project i started the idea when the shaft is designed the user can create an automatic idw drawing of the shaft and can export in a new excel (macro enabled) the shaft dimensions for the shaft calculation. I have been doing this for the last two months and now i am certain that is possible.
What i am wondering is there an interest for this kind of project????
