Hi, I'm using the Inventor 2019 and I have some drawings saved, but my friend uses Inventor 2017 and he needs to open into his pc.

Do you know if have some way to open those documents into Inventor 2017?

Hello,

There are several ways to open a document saved with a newer version of Inventor.
However non of them recognize model history (= Feature) and so only one solid feature will be displayed in the model tree.

One of the ways is AnyCAD for Inventor. Update Inventor 2017 to latest version (Inventor 2017.4.10 Update).
I don't test Inventor 2017, but my Inventor 2019 can open a document created by Inventor 2020.

Another way is simply you save the document as STEP with Inventor 2019.

Hi, As you have been described above, you will not be able to perform that task in a conventional manner. One option could be to send them PDF drawing files so that you can see them in this way. Another way would be to convert dwg to an old version of Autocad and be able to see this file without problems. Grettings !!
