problem with copy iam & idw

hi
i have my iam & idw files at c:\ i.e. my on local drive
i want to copy that file from c:\ to another drive i.e d:\
i have the confusion that is there is need to copy the referenced parts of the related iam & idw files also get copied on d:\? also after copying this i want to rename the related iam & idw files

Hi, You can copy or move your iam and idw files anywhere, till you maintain the part reference valid and the part file is not modified. The referenced part is stored based on the full path of that part file. And you can rename the iam and idw files but not the referred part files.
