PDF export size - strange correlation

Why it is so when I export PDF from the same IDW, using AI build-in converter

AI 2021

If I export 13 sheets to a single PDF its size is ~5 MB

If I export each sheet separately overall size is 14.5 MB.

All export settings are identical, except for All Sheets v Current Sheet.

What is going on?

I have seen this kind of behaviour when creating DWG files. (It took ages to create them and they were very big even if there was nothing on the sheet.) I discovered that all sketched symbols, borders and other stuff like that were converted to DWG native objects. (For example, sketched symbols were converted to blocks) Maybe something like that is also happening to the PDF's.

There may be something in that.

AS for bulk export all common objects are exported once. And for each sheet they are exported every time.

But still it should not be so much inefficient.

I don't really know how PDF's work, but they dont get compressed in Zip files so i am guessing it's already compressed in a similar way.
If so, it would make sense that reusing information across alot of sheets is very efficient in size.
