I come from a different 3D software and have a question or difficulty that I hope will be clarified. If I have two different pieces but the same size when creating the parts list, it looks like two units of the same piece, which isn't accurate, as evidenced in the attached image. I would like to know how to separate the parts in the AutodeskInventor parts list by length, cutting angles, holes, and all other operations that can create different parts.
Is it possible solve this with inventor programming?
In my opinion, this should be solved by using 2 different parts as the parts are not interchangeable following the form-fit-function principle (so the parts list shows 2x2 parts and your cut list may show 1x4 parts).
It's possible to add custom columns to your parts list showing the amount of bevels, cutting angles and more, but I'm not sure if it's possible to sort on more than one column (length first, then cutting angle quantity, then bevel quantity).
