OverrideShortcut Does Not Work With Some Keys

The OverrideShortcut property should allow you to set shortcuts for commands as you can in the Customize dialog. However, some cases don't work.

  • Keys like Tab, Page Up, etc. can't be assigned, instead it will create an alias shortcut with the individual keys T, A, and B.
  • "`" results in an error, even though I can assign "`" as a shortcut using the Customize dialog and it works.

 

There have been other posts in the forum about this before, but no solution, and there's basically no documentation.
