I'm trying to configure Inventor 9 to accept data for a MIL-STD-1373 modified 60° double stub thread. It's a really odd thread used for defense applications, and it would be great to accurately show this thread on a solid model of connectors requiring it. I'm a recent crossover guy from AutoCAD 2000 Mechanical & have had zero success in creating thread features. I can kind of understand the manipulation of the thread.xls file, but as far as creating the thread profile and path I am at the mercy of 2D thinking!!! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
