looking for appropriate tutorial

I’m trying to evaluate Autocad electrical and inventor 2019 to see if I can easily do the following:

  1. Create a custom schematic component
  2. Export that schematic to inventor
  3. Connect the wires in inventor
  4. Generate a bill of material for the schematic components and wires

I have found some tutorials but they are not for the 2019 version, so they aren’t very useful, becscuase all the menus have been rearranged

Greetings,

There is a tutorial for Cable and Harness interoperability in both the Electrical Help and the Inventor Help. It hasn’t been updated in a few years so the Inventor UI may be out  of date. What it shows in electrical is probably still valid except icons might looks different.

This video might be helpful.

And there is an electro-mechanical tutorial in the Inventor trial version resource center.

Hope that helps.

Paul
