IV2010

Was looking over the 2010 Programming Help. First thing I noticed is that it is directed more to C# and VB. The VBA style help seems to have gone away?

Sign of things to come :).

The only thing that has changed in that regard is
that the API signatures are directed towards C# and VB.net usages. The VB.net
and VBA signatures are very simliar, with a few exceptions (arrays for
instance). All the code samples are still in VBA.

Anything in particular that you miss?

Hi Sanjay, overall the help is probably "better". I was just looking at it from a new programmer/user standpoint. The VBA help was very easy to understand and looked exactly like the macro code. With the new VB.Net code, it is a bit harder for the VBA user cause there are keywords shown that aren't used ("Implements"), plus the fully qualified names could be confusing for the VBA user. But again it is probably better like this in the long run.

Thanks, Josh. I understand your point about the
VB.NET syntax. These are automatically generated by a tool, so there is some
scope for making these more user-friendly. I'll forward your feedback to the
documentation folks.

We have not upgraded to Inventor 2010 yet, we are subscribing so I have the installation discs in my hand. I am trying to re-write some VBA macros to C#.net and feel that the help for 2008 is not enough.

Is there a way to install the API help and SDK for 2010?
