Just had a long drawn out troubleshooting scenario with the project file and material libraries not showing InventorMaterialLibary. (Inventor Material Library... The one that comes default with Inventor 2019.)
So here's what happened:
Company has an existing, out of date project .ipj file with incomplete company styles, blocks etc etc etc
I created a new project .ipj file for company.
Created a new directory for testing the new project file and templates etc.
Copied all the default "Design Data" file folders from: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 2019
Applied all my edits we needed.
But consistently when I created a new drawing or edited a drawing with the project active. The Material library pull down would show nothing there... As if the library file was empty.
I contacted some support and screen-shared and the same thing was confirmed with the gentleman and we couldn't figure it out. We even copied the "Design Data" folder/files from the default location to the desktop and mapped it and it didn't work still.
We exchanged files and couldn't replicate my scenario with the support. I even loaded it with my coworker computers and the glitch / bug presented there as well.
We even attempted a fresh install of Inventor to test this and the same issue semi-presented itself...
(see Solution below)
Inventor: Model States is not a replacement for iParts / iAssemblies. It does not have all the same features yet and does not communicate well with our large currently in use libraries. 😞 https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-ideas/model-state-support-tabulated-parts-list/idc-p/11360616
