We have introduced the Vault system for change orders here in our company after updating to Vault Professional 2024. Here in the design department, we mainly work with adjustment designs.
I am now in the process of developing a way to make existing change orders from the Vault visible in Inventor.
Background: When we start a new design adjustment based on an existing maschine, I would like to know if there is an existing change request for any of the parts in the assembly.
My first idea was to go through the structured BOM of the opened assembly and query the content of the "Change order status" column for each part. However, this variant seems very cumbersome.
My next idea was to access the data card. In the data card, I can also display the "Change order status" column for the entire assembly. The data card function also offers all the filter functions we need. However, I can't find an API reference that could be used to automate access the data card. With this variant, I would save myself the trouble of setting up a connection to the Vault etc.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I could implement this project?
