Inventor 2010 is not saving

Hello ,

Inventor has an event viewer. There I saw that sometime its is not saving the files.

It happens randomly in parts or assy. Is it possible to get a notification when it is not saving so at least the

user knows when he has the problem? maybe something in ilogic and the rule will notify if it cant save.

Any idea will be much appreciated.

You could trigger a message using DocumentEvents via the API, but more importantly why is this happening?

I've tried to replicate this issue, but was not successful.

Hi

Maybe it is not saving because some add in. We have EPDM add in on Inventor.

We dont know why Inv is not saving. The guys from support also can't help.

I am attaching more pictures, maybe someone here may save us.

Can you please elaborate how to trigger the message.
I am not an expert in this matters.
At least we want to know when the issue is happening.

Are you on the latest service pack for 2010?

Reading through the changelogs it appears that many issues dealing with saving files were resolved.

We have installed service pack 4 with bonus pack.

All the hotfixes after SP4 where not installed. I dont understand what they are fixing.

Hi,

It's not clear from here if it's only the OnSave event not firing or Inventor actually not saving. 

Another thing is that you could unload all the AddIn's and see if that helps.

The users say that Inventor is not saving the part or assy.
They found out after a day or two...
With the event viewer we started to see that actually the SAVE is not working.
