iLogic: HoleNote Precision

Hello,

I am wondering if there is a way to access and set the precision of the different values that are included in various holenotes? The reason I am doing this is we have default tolerances on our drawings: x.xxx is +-.005 and x.xx is +-.010.

Our holenotes default to x.xxx, which is fine for diameters but overkill for depths in most cases. I know it is possible to adjust this precision in each note, but that becomes time consuming. It is 8 clicks per holenote. I would liek to create an ilogic rule that is triggered to run during save that parses through each holenote and adjusts the precision on the certain values in the hole notes. I have looked around, and I have been unable to find much to do wiht ilogic and the holenotes. Again, my limited programming knowledge is getting in the way. 😞

Is this possible?

Here is what the default note looks like:

Here is what I would like it to look like:

Here is the values that are available in the holenote dialog:

Hi ,

I don't think you need API help here. In UI there is setting for each type of hole note. You can save this setting to the template

I was aware of the holenote control in Styles, but I did not realize it would hang onto the tolerance settings. I have set this, and it seems to be working so far. My hope is that it does not handle the settings the same way the partlist does. 🙂

Thanks - sometimes I have trouble seeing the forest for the trees. Or the trees for the leaves.

Sorry - I responded from the wrong Autodesk account.
