iLogic Form not updating while open

Ok I have been having this problem alot and have tried everything to try to get it to work so now calling on the experts.

I have an ilogic form which drives some sketch dimensions. The problem I am having is that I am not getting feedback into the form to update a read only parameter that is part of the sketch.

So, basically without closing the form I adjust one of the dimensions which is linked to the sketch to rotate either CW or CCW based on user input. The sketch in the background will update and also updates two driven dimensions working out the shortest distance (HC_CLEARANCE_FRONT_LEFT & HC_CLEARANCE_FRONT_LEFT) and then comparing them and the value is then set as HC_CLEARANCE_FRONT. This appears as a read only text field in the form.

The trouble is even though the sketch is updating in the background and the comparison is working correctly it is not updating the text field in the form and I am seeing the original read only value on the form.

If i look in the parameter table i am also not seeing this change.

I have tried using the Parameter function to call and set directly however this is not working. The parameter not updating in the form is HC_CLEARANCE_FRONT.

If HC_PLATFORM_ANGLE_CCW_ENABLE = True Then
	HC_PLATFORM_ANGLE_CW = 0
End If
If HC_PLATFORM_ANGLE_CW_ENABLE = True Then
	HC_PLATFORM_ANGLE_CCW = 0
End If
If HC_PLATFORM_ANGLE_CW_ENABLE = False And HC_PLATFORM_ANGLE_CCW_ENABLE = False Then
	HC_PLATFORM_ANGLE_CW = 0
	HC_PLATFORM_ANGLE_CCW = 0
End If
If HC_CLEARANCE_FRONT_LEFT > HC_CLEARANCE_FRONT_RIGHT
	HC_CLEARANCE_FRONT = Round(HC_CLEARANCE_FRONT_RIGHT)
ElseIf HC_CLEARANCE_FRONT_LEFT < HC_CLEARANCE_FRONT_RIGHT
	HC_CLEARANCE_FRONT = Round (HC_CLEARANCE_FRONT_LEFT)
ElseIf HC_CLEARANCE_FRONT_LEFT = HC_CLEARANCE_FRONT_RIGHT
	HC_CLEARANCE_FRONT = Round(HC_CLEARANCE_FRONT_LEFT)
End If
RuleParametersOutput()
iLogicVb.UpdateWhenDone = True

Hi @mark_h_ellis

You can try setting the parameter via the parameter function rather than the local parameter. Using the parameter function and update line allows you to update a parameter while the rule is running.

Parameter.UpdateAfterChange = True
Parameter("d0") = 1.2

Another way to 'force' the Blue parameter values to 'immediately' update the model, instead of waiting until the end of the rule to update the model, is by including the following line of iLogic code right after making changes to one or more of those Blue parameters in the rule.

RuleParametersOutput
