I Logic to highlight direct parents in a BOM?

If I have a top level assembly which in turn contains several sub assemblies of parts and I export a structured BOM>

Each level receives a numerical Item No. So lets say a sub assembly has the following part number - Slider Pad Assembly, and in the structured BOM it is given the item number 2. This assembly has two parts which are named Slider Pad & M20 Hex Head Bolt. These appear in the BOM as item No's 2.1 & 2.2.   There is nothing except the numerical 2.1 & 2.2 to link those two parts to their direct parent assembly.   Let's say the same M20 bolt also appears in another assembly named Alternative Slider Pad which is item No. 3 and is given item number 3.6.

What I want is a column in the BOM which calls up the sub parts direct parents. So in each line for M20 Hex Head Bolt it would have a cell referring to Slider Pad Assembly & the Slider Pad Alternative Assembly.

I'm assuming this could be done by ILogic, eg. When a part is placed into an assembly a custom property (its parent assembly number) gets filled in. This can then be added and displayed/exported through the BOM.

Only problem is I did a short course in ILogic many moons ago, so I could use some guidance.

Thanks in advance.
