how to get rid of mid of line constraint ?

i drew a box and a line located any way horizontally in the box. but it snapped to mid of vertical line. 1.jpg

i want to change it.. but it shows these 2 funny icons.. what are they ? how to use it ?

3.jpg

then i decided to change the location of the mid horizontal line using dimension, but when i changed the location of the mid line, the whole box shrinked.

4.jpgthis shows it has middle line contrain.. how to get rid of it ? so that i can locate the horizontal line any way in my rectangular box ?

also, how do i draw line without it to auto snap here and there .. ?  autocad has got a function key to disable snap .. how about inventor ?

thanks.

Your 2 funny icons are just an indication of the constraint type (coincident in this case) between the end point of your horizontal line and the mid point of the vertical line. All you need to do is right click on the icon and select delete.

If you press and hold CTRL when sketching it will suppress any automatic constraints

Use Constraints Settings (see attached) to modify what gets added automatically
