Help, I want to write an API for the manufacturing of Spur gear

With the common knowledge of Inventor having a Spur gear generator, please I need help on calling that Spur gear generator from my API. Note that I am using VB for the programming and I have use Try and Catch for linking my API to the inventor. So on starting debugging my API, Inventor starts just as the example in the my first pluggin.

The Only thing remaining is to link my API to the Spur Gear Generator.

Thanks.

Hi there!!

You asked one question that show me another question, how did you get these informations about the spur gears (module for example)??

I'm new with the API and i have to get some informations about the gears generated in Design Accelerator and show then in a table in IDW template, for fabrication.

My question can be better showned in the attachment;

Thanks!

Hi There,

Spur gear or Design Accelerator don't have a specific API, sorry for the bad news.

If you are new to Inventor programming, I suggest you take a look at the API Help Files, there is an overview section that will give you a better idea about what is doable.

Feel free to come back to us if you have more specific questions in the future.

Best Regards,

Philippe.

Hi, we are trying create some API for the Design Accelerator.

The desing accelerator in Inventor 2015 have a specific API ?

Is there any estimate of when this tool will be increased?

Thanks

Unfortunately DA doesn't expose an API at the moment. A safe guess would be that it isn't going to expose an API anytime in the near future... It's basically been as-is since years.

Sorry for the bad news,

Philippe.
