File name replacement, and update part number in ilogic design copy

Hello

Im trying a new work flow with our multibody Configurator. 
I am want to rename a multibody, assembly and parts. through iLogic design copy. But afterwards I have to go in and manually change for example (P1 to P3) part number in both multibody and assembly and all parts in iProperties.
Is it not supposed that "update part number" in ilogic design copy should do it for me? Otherwise, I cannot separate it in the main assembly in my BOM list

A question for the main forum I believe. Have you changed the part number from the self populating filename? If you change the part number manually this then doesn't allow the filename to be used as part number.
