FEM automtion with VBA/macros possible?

Hi,

I'm working on a project in which I'd like a fully automated programm/macro to use Inventors FEM to analyze different objects.

I read, that the FEM is not supported by API (or at least wasn't until 2016). Is that still true or does anyone know about a way to programm the simulations with VBA?

If that's not possible, is there any other way to achieve something similar?

Basically, I want to use the macro on different, but somewhat similar objects. The force that would be applied as well as the material used is supposed to vary according to a user input. The user should see how the object bends and the stress that is applied.

I'd be very grateful if anyone could help me by pointing me in the right direction.

Thank you in advance.

If you are trying to do the simulation on similar objects that varies in size, you can try Inventor Parametric Study, which will give you good flexibility and may fulfill your requirement.

I think there is something you can do in iLogic, see below link from Ketiv technologies, where they are using iLogic code to automate the simulation process with Inventor Nastran

Also, check out this class Autodesk University London 2019 by Wasim Younis and Chris Atherton talks about automating Nastran in CAD with iLogic

Also, read this thread from the Inventor Community forum page, that the APIs are still not exposed.
