I'm looking for software that is able to estimate/calculate the manufacturing cost of a 3D part generated in Autodesk Inventor.
The software should be able to identify the needed processes (using automatic feature recognition) and apply the proper tools from a given library. The input to do this, is an native inventor file.
(if necessary *.step, *.iges *.sat)
I'm mainly aiming at turned parts only (and a bit of lasercutting flat pieces).
Software that I've found on the internet so far, enabling this (don't know if there capable of handling native inventor-files) :

Questions :
a) Is there anyone willing to share his opinion/experience with this kind of software ?
Is it any good ? Does it work efficiently ? Is it a realistic calculation ? ...
b) Is there any alternative or are there other programs I should take a look at ?
