Error plugin DTCP iproperties

Hi,

I've a win7, 64bit workstation with Inventor 2011 (activated) and Inventor 2012 as trail installed.

Inventor 2012 works fine but when I start Inventor 2011 and I call iProperties I'm getting an error:

Plugin not available or not properly installed.

Notify the system administrator that the installation is incomplete.

DTCP

I'm the local administrator on that workstation.

How can I solve this?

Have you tried an inventor 2011 repair?

It did the trick for me.

Try to set UAC settings off. That was the solution for me!

How do you do a repair ? I've tried by inserting the DVDs but it wants me to uninstall and re-install. I have the same problem with the iProperties being faulty; we're waiting for the IT guy to update our server for the Vault. I have to use 2011 in the meanwhile.

Thanx

OK, I'm good, I found it. I was looking for something in Inventor help. It was in Windows "Add/Remove programs"

iProperties works fine now.

Boo-Yah !

Correct me if I am wrong. To solve this iproperties error in 2011,

Go to windows control panel->add/remove program-> choose inventor-> repair

Is this the method?

Do we need inventor installation disks for this?

@CAD-One: that is precisely the method I used. I was afraid that Windows would try to uninstall everything, and was almost convinced I had to. When I saw I had the option to repair, I breathed a litle better. I had to feed the installation DVDs in order to complete the operation that took a whole 5 minutes. Rebooted computer just to be sure.

No problems since then. We are installing the 2012 Vault server monday morning. I can't wait to play with the new-fangled UI.

Hope this helps.
