Hi everyone I have a little quick question. I need to upload an iam file to the forge platform, but unfortunately the iam. files are not working right now so I can upload an ipt. file. But I am not sure whether the iLogic will work as it should when I convert the iam file to ipt. Anny suggestions ? Or if you are experienced in forge platform do you know how to upload an iam file to forge maybe ?

Thanks.

Yes you can upload assembly as zip file.
Check out this articles about Forge:
https://forge.autodesk.com/blog/open-file-zip
https://forge.autodesk.com/blog/localname-pathinzip-zip

To answer to your question: what do you mean with "converting"? if you create a derived part, that's a new document and it doesn't have the rules you added to the assembly.
If a rule can run in assembly and part without any change it depends on what the rule does: for example, if you read the document parameters it could work, but if you're traversing the occurrences this is clearly a concept a part doesn't have and it won't work.

Hi,

I don't know your experience with forge but sending, opening etc assembly files on forge could be tricky for beginners. These two blogs from CattabianiI are good start. You can send your question on forge.help@autodesk.com or search Adam's Nady blogs on their site.
